Oh, the sun. There is no life on Earth without it. It is a natural source of vitamin D and it boosts the levels of the "happiness hormone" (serotonin). BUT the sun also has its dark and toxic side. Its UV (ultraviolet) radiation can be harmful, dangerous, and destructive for us humans. They damage our skin and our health. UVA (Ultraviolet A) rays forms 95% of the UV radiation that reaches Earth. They penetrate deeply into our skin and damage the epidermis and dermis. They cause almost all forms of skin aging, including wrinkles. They damage collagen and elastin in the skin, generate free radicals, and play a role in some skin cancers.
